Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid 13 and Review

The final episode of TSR deals with Sousuke's conviction and the fate of Hong Kong itself. Of course, I won't tell you what happens in the end in deal with my policy of not to reveal endings of series. Anyway, the ending of the series still has some plot points to deal with as they weren't resolved but it ends with a good feeling overall. The characters of Sousuke and Kaname have developed so much in the first series and in TSR that you actually cared about them. It's such a shame that this series was only 13 episodes but it was a great 13 episodes. The animation quality was great along with the music.

This series didn't really focused much on the overall story than with character interactions. You would have four to five minute conversations between characters which were great. Some of my favorite conversations were Sousuke and Wraith, Tessa and the First Officer, and Sousuke and Kaname in the final episode. These conversations were emotionally powerful and had the power to be drawn into their universe. The villians really deserve more screen time as they could be great villians like Gaulun. It seems that this series was to setup Sousuke for something bigger in the future as he need to overcome the problems of the Arbalest. This series should have been 24 episodes or longer but it's destinied to have another series from the way the series ended. Overall it was a great series that should have been longer.

My score of Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid is a 4 out of 5.
